RIDES FOR OCTOBER 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 06h30 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same. First time visitors are required to sign an indemnity form. 

Bunch Safety
Obey traffic signals – red lights
Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

Description06h20 DC teams and anyone else interested in a 100km 
Details – from the BP over Tiekie right into Tygerberg Valley road left into Old Oak follow the road into La Belle left into Bottelary follow the road left at the T-junction at the Klapmuts intersection its left and follow the road to the R304 where its right at the Silos its left then right into Philladelphia and return to the BP via Adderley and Tiekie +- 100km  

Description – Club ride 06h30 Silos
Details – from the BP over Tiekie through Durbanville down Wellington right towards Fesantekraal left at the fourway intersection left at the Silos right onto Philladelphia and return to the BP via Adderley and Tiekie +- 85km Social riders will follow the same route for 30km before turning around to return to BP +- 60km 

Sunday 7 Oct 2018
DescriptionChapman’s Peak 06h30
Details –  from the BP through Century City to Marine drive and the N1 through the Waterfront to Llandudno and Chappies before returning to the BP  +- 90km

Notes

In two weeks time its the Durbie Dash 90km roadrace the last twenty kilometres of the Durbie is part of our club ride its an ideal time to test ride the route in a group. DC training ride is Taal Monument +-130km on saturday 13 October at 06h20.
