RIDES FOR OCTOBER 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 06h30 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same. First time visitors are required to sign an indemnity form.

Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

Details – from the BP we do one CCC loop of Uys Krige, Plattekloof and Giel Basson on our second lap we carry on Giel Basson to Frans Conradie at Karl Bremer hospital we turn left into Jip de Jager and follow Jip till the st John’s traffic lights after turning left we carry on over Tiekie and right towards Contermanskloof and follow the road to Malans after everyone have descended Malans we regroup at the top before returning to the BP +- 60km Social riders will follow the same route except the CCC loop +- 50km

Details –  from the BP through Century to Marine drive and the N1 through the Waterfront to Llandudno and Chappies before returning to the BP +- 90km

Notes

  • Saturday is the Durbie Dash 90km road race and many of our members will be participating in it.
  • Next week Sunday 28 October is the One Tonner, we”ll have a gazebo at the finish, come and pop in and tell us about you’re long day in the saddle. Please do wear your club kit at both events, and good luck to all at both events.
