RIDES FOR JULY 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 07h00 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same. First time visitors are required to sign an indemnity form.

Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

DescriptionDC training ride Somerset West
Details – from the BP via Frans Conradie to Bottelary after the R300 bridge we turn right at the traffic light and follow the road to Strand street (Voortrekker becomes Strand) after turning left we follow the road all the way to Somerset West after riding through Somerset West to Gordons bay we ride to the top of Steenbras Dam everyone climb at there own pace and regroup at the top we return to the BP the same way +- 120km   Club ride Silos from the BP over Tiekie through Durbanville down Wellington left into Philladelphia and return to the BP via Adderley and Tiekie +- 80km   Social riders will follow the same route for 30km after regrouping will return to the BP the same way +- 60km

DescriptionDuynefontein
Details – from the BP through Century City to Lagoon beach by Marine we turn onto the bikepath and head towards Dolphin beach and from there we follow the coastal road to Duynefontein and after two laps we return to the BP via the bikepath +- 70km

Notes

Well done to all who participated in Knysna. From here on-with every second week we planning on having DC training rides, weather conditions permitting and everyone will hopefully attend our rides whose planning on taking part in the DC or just want to train for the One Tonner which is 170km in October please dress for cold conditions not with thinking it will be warmer later and don’t forget you’re lights
