RIDES FOR SEPTEMBER 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 07h00 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same. First time visitors are required to sign an indemnity form.

Obey traffic signals – red lights
Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

DescriptionDC teams and anyone else interested in a 100km ride Polkadraai/Silos 06h30
Details –  from the BP over Tiekie right into Tygerberg Valley road left into Old Oak follow the road into La Belle left into Bottelary right into Saxdowns left into Langverwacht and proceed to the top of Polka after regrouping we descent into Stellenbosch we descent into Stellenbosch and carry on to Beverly hills left onto Kromme Rhee right onto the R304 and follow till the Silos and return to the BP via Wellington road and Tiekie +- 100km  

DescriptionClub ride Duynefontein 07h00
Details –  from the BP through Century City to Lagoon beach from there we take the bike path till Dolphin beach after turning left we follow the coastal road to Melkbos through Duynefontein and return to the BP the same way of Lagoon beach and Century City +-70km Social have the option of following the same route or go directly to Melkbos and turning around to go back to the BP  +- 60km

Details – from the BP via Marine drive and the N1 through the Waterfront to Llandudno with the usual regrouping points before returning to the BP +- 70km

Notes

 

Sunday is the West coast express road race for our members who have entered we usually have a leg loosener ride to Dolphin beach or Big Bay hill before returning to the BP also leaving the BP at 07h00 good luck to all our members participating in it. We will have a gazebo so pop in and say hi. Our next DC training ride is Franschoek +-150km on the 15 of September. From 29 September club rides will start 06h30
