RIDES FOR JUNE 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 07h00 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same.

Bunch Safety
Obey traffic signals – red lights
Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

Details – from the BP via Frans Conradie to Bottelary right into Saxdowns left into Langverwacht and proceed to the top of Polka after regrouping we descent into Stellenbosch we don’t turn left to go past Khayamandi but carry on to Beverly hills and return to the BP via Kromme Rhee and Bottelary +- 85km Social riders will follow the same route till the top of Polka and turn around and return to the BP the same way +- 60km

Details – from the BP via Frans Conradie to Bottelary left onto the R304 left at the 4way Fruitsellers intersection where we regroup at the top of the hill before passing Fesantekraal make sure everyone is together we return to the BP via Wellington and Tiekie  +- 80km

Notes

DC training is upon us and CCC wants to have three 12 man teams participating in the Coronation Double Century this year the distance is 202km and every year we have teams taking part Those who took part last year and want to be part of a faster team or if you want to be part of the same team please let me know There’s usually more interest closer to the event which is in November but by then the teams are usually full so it’s important to be part from the start for any further information regarding the DC Google Coronation Double Century next week Saturday the club ride is Chapman’s peak +-90km to kickstart our DC training our first ride will be Simons town +-130km We will leave the BP at 06h30 anyone is welcome to join us even if you not planning on taking part in the DC
