Important Notes

Bunch Safety

  • Obey traffic signals – red lights
  • Ride inside the yellow line
  • Single file on narrow roads
  • Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette

  • Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
  • Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
  • Don’t half bike
  • Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

Saturday 19 March 2016

Social:  Co-ordinated by Steve  (About 40kms)
Burgundy Estate, Tiekie Draai, Regroup at top of Tiekie. To the first Traffic Light, turn right into TygerValley Road. Single file down the narrow section please. Continue to the T Junction then turn Right into 12th avenue. Return to the BP via Giel Basson and Monte Vista.

Club ride:  Co-ordinated by Pine (About 65 kms)
Burgundy Estate and Tiekie. Regroup at the top of Tiekie
To the St Johns Road Intersection, turn left, at the traffic circle take Adderley road and continue to the T junction with Philadelphia Road.
Turn left and take the first left into Van Schoors Drift Road.
Return to the BP via the N7 Contermans Kloof and Burgundy Estate.

Race: Graham and Rob will be involved with the Racing.
Western Province League Event – 120kms at Sacks Circle

Club Ride: Co-ordinated by Duncan (About 80 kms)
Monte Vista, Giel Basson, 12th Avenue, Bottelarey Road, Turn left onto the R304 and proceed to the Fruit Sellers 4-way stop. Return to the BP via Phesantekraal and Tiekiedraai.

Please note: The area near Phesantekraal informal settlement is a hotspot. Re-group at the Phesantekraal Airfield entrance and ride this part as a group.

Tygerberg MTB night ride but leaving at 06h15 from the BP for a night ride to Malanshoogte, Adderley & maybe Spes Bona. Please bring adequate lights.
