RIDES FOR JUNE 2018

All rides starts at the BP service station in Letchworth Drive Edgemead at 07h00 am.

Visitors are always welcome. Please introduce yourself to the ride coordinator at the start and please make sure that you are carrying ICE information or pass that information on to the ride coordinator before the start. Please note that as a club we obey traffic rules and regulations and expect our visitors to do the same. First time visitors are required to sign an indemnity form. 

Bunch Safety
Obey traffic signals – red lights
Ride inside the yellow line
Single file on narrow roads
Point out objects in the road

Bunch Etiquette
Blow your nose at the back of the bunch
Don’t attack – training rides are just that – training rides
Don’t half bike
Be punctual

Visitors are always welcome. Saturday rides are slower and easier so beginners are welcome. Sundays are not for the fainthearted or unfit!

DescriptionNature Reserve
Details – from the BP we do a CCC loop of Uys Krige, Plattekloof and Giel Basson to warm up the legs and from there we head to Frans Conradie and left into Jip de Jager at the top of Jip we turn left and follow the directions to the Nature Reserve after regrouping at the top we return to Jip and turn left at the Van Riebeeckshof intersection and follow the road back to Jip after another left we follow Jip into St Johns after a couple of traffic circles through Durbanville to Wellington road we turn right and return to the BP over Tiekie +- 60km Social riders will ride to Malanshoogte and on the way back ride to the top of Tiekie and from there return to the BP  +- 45km

Details – from the BP via Marine drive and the N1 and the Waterfront to Llandudno with the option of Chappies +- 70km

Notes

There is only four months from July for DC training anyone interested please let me know within the next two weeks. We usually have every second week a DC training ride to places like Franschoek, Rooiels, Malmesbury, Simons Town, Bainskloof ,Taal Monument and many more. I saw more of the Western Cape by bicycle than in a car since joining DC rides. Next week Saturday at 06h30 our next ride is Somerset West to the top of Steenbras Dam +-120km
